Father Tony Creane created the Growing Tree Endowment Fund for St. Mary’s Parish School in 1990 with the goal of $565,000. The plan was earmark 35% to the endowment, 35% for improvements to the physical plan, 20% to educational needs, and 10% to cafeteria enhancement. Within a year we raised $200,000, and we reached our goal in 1992.
The Endowment Fund provided windows for the high school in 1989 and for the parish school in 1990, among many other projects to date. We further established two annual events to provide additional funding: our golf tournament, which started in 1990, and our auction, which started in 1993. Today, all funds donated to St. Mary’s Parish School through our 1898 Society also contribute to the Growing Tree Endowment Fund.
Thank you very much for your extremely generous donation. These funds have been allocated for St. Mary’s Parish School specifically for the Growing Tree in honor of Father Tony Creane. Your support and generosity are invaluable to St. Mary’s and we personally truly appreciate your thoughtfulness!
It is important to our campus community to maintain the legacy of our founding in 1898 and to continue to invest in our endowments. In spite of the demands brought about by COVID-19, our school and church have been blessed by our campus community and especially individuals like yourselves are invaluable at these most difficult times. We thank you and ask God’s blessings on you. Your generosity reflects a genuine concern for the quality of life and overall well being of our parish community.
